Abstract

Apple this a source healthy for human beings, it has several benefts for controling  diseases. Your production is favorable in temperate climates, by keep seasons well defined. When handling this fruit sensible must have caution for not to occur injury, causing the penetration of fungi. Colletotrichum spp is a disease of post harvest, being causer of anthracnose, characterized by necrotic lesions, dark and depressed in the peel of fruit.This paper aimed at test the effect of essential oils Mentha arvensis and Eucalypthus citriodora in development of this pathogen. The experiment was performed in vitro, using 5 concentrations (0, 50, 100, 500 e 1000 ppm) from two oils mixed to culture medium BDA (Potato-Dextrose-Ágar), being analyzed this oil effects in percentage of inibition mycelial growth (PIC). The results obtained about the mycelial growth Colletotrichum spp. of apple with essential oils of Mentha arvensis and Eucalyptus citriodora, were satisfactory, presenting compounds capable of reducing your mycelial growth.
