The nature’s conception: peasants into the agroecological transition process

Abstract

The human is not the center of the universe, but it’s one of the parts that compose the continuous
interactions established in a given environment. Lots of peasants see themselves in this
way, which is not shared by the modern science in general. Thus, this paper aims to present
and analyze the peasant’s perception in the agroecological transition process regarding the
importance of the Agroecology to strength their ways of life. This perception could be identified
in a meeting realized with the peasants in 2016, in Araponga, Minas Gerais.
