Abstract

This study came to bring a controversial discussion about the rural exodus of the young people of the Jaguapiru Village, of Dourados-MS, who go out in search of salary with the purpose of finding better conditions of life, and end up deluded with the consumerism. And it also shows the result of the lack of these young people in family and community work, lacking the production of food, which are being brought from outside by these young people, along with alcoholic beverages. As an alternative to these problems, a group of village elders and educators sat down and discussed some actions that could be taken to find a solution to the impasse. As a solution they pointed out the necessary political changes, both in the entities linked to the indigenous movement and in internal segments within the community itself.
