Abstract

In rural settlements, the lack of technical assistance has been a negative point for the subsistence of these families in the field. And without this training, the vast majority of farmers do not discover sustainable and profitable alternatives like organic milk production, how they can protect the environment and at the same time add value to their primary product. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the experience of farmers who had training in the process of organic milk conversion, identifying the strengths and weaknesses found in daily practice in their lot, as well as the efficiency of technical assistance performed in the field. The post-technical assistance experiences were successful, since they provided an increase in milk income because it was sold in an organic way, besides being noticeable that all farmers modified the way of managing the property, with totally sustainable techniques.
