Abstract

The aim of the present research is propose a methodology for determine sustainability indexes for the Vitrine Tecnológica de Agroecologia Vilson Nilson Redel, located in the municipality of Cascavel, State of Paraná, Brazil. The chosen indicators for the analysis comprise three different sustainability dimensions: organizational, technical-productive and environmental. The area of ​​study has of ​​2600 m2, with high diversification divided into: agroforestry, mandala garden with medicinal and unconventional edible plants, agroecological animal production system, green house for protected vegetable crop, agroecological grain production area, and rainwater use system. The proposed evaluation methodology for the sustainability index of the area, based on participatory action-research methodology, using as an instrument of information gathering by participatory rural diagnosis, structured in the form of a field notebook.
