Health and citizenship backyards: (re) building spaces and knowledge

Abstract

The project, which was structured in the form of extension workshops developed theoretical
and practical activities related to the themes of home and farm gardens, looking for a connection
between the IFSC and the community, establishing a trading channel popular and scientific
knowledge regarding the thematic urban agriculture crops in small spaces, home gardens
and unconventional edible plants. The project resulted in a greater rapprochement between
IFSC, Campus Gaspar and surrounding community, as well as the growing interest in the food
question, which will serve as a driving force for new actions and projects in the thematic area.
