The Experience of CSA Araras-SP for a New Relationship between Consumers and Producers

The objective of this work is to share the experiences with CSA Araras, based on the associative economy and the demand of conscious consumers who have been financing the production of two farmers in the city of Araras – SP. Arising from the reflection of the economic scenario and the producer-consumer relationship, a group of consumers dissatisfied with the quality and diversity of products in supermarkets, how food is produced in the field and the logistics of these to the consumer's table. Thus, this report is an attempt to disseminate the knowledge that underlies the pillars of the CSA from the production of food and rescue of unconventional edible plants, as this strategy favors new eating habits and encourages a rescue with food besides strengthening ties with the farmers.
