The use of medicinal, spice and aromatic plants is ancient and goes back to the man history.
Being a multidisciplinary science demands professionals from different areas for the construction
of knowledge. For this purpose we aimed to set up an area as a demonstrative unit
with species of these plants. As there was neither place nor plants, a site was selected and
materials were used accessible for the assembly of beds. In these beds through donations
were kept eight species, these donations were obtained from students and community people,
as well as seeds from other plants. At the end of six months of activities, with social inclusion
scholars from the IFPR Campus Palmas, eight species were prospected that remained after
the harsh winter of the region. These species have been multiplied and of some already exist
viable seedlings to be cultivated in other places. Guidance for handling and use are the next
steps of the project.
