Abstract

It is through the agrarian reform that the peasant without land properties has access to them and, in this way, can perform through agriculture the social reproduction of the domestic group. Peasant agriculture is the one that comes closest to agroecology because its practices and techniques are inherent to the peasant way of life, which is different from capitalist agriculture. In this sense, agroecology is a way of preserving the peasant way of life and their (re) production, directly linked to an economy whose center is the recreation of life, not the profit. The challenge in this study, through interviews and projects related to this subject and developed through the Laboratory of Territorial Studies (LABET), linked to the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Campus of Três Lagoas city (UFMS / CPTL), is to understand how the relationship between peasant agriculture and agroecology in the settlement called March 20, in Três Lagoas, especially considering the fundamental dimensions of agroecology, to know: practice / scientific / movement.
