Abstract

Today, it is possible to observe in Brazil the negative consequences of the Green Revolution. This model of agrochemical agriculture has triggered unemployment in the countryside, expulsion of farmers, hunger, land concentration, desertification, pollution, health damage by agrochemicals and loss of the right over food sovereignty. In order to give visibility to alternatives to this model of conventional agriculture, the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Campus of Três Lagoas, has supported projects such as the Agroecological Fair that supports the agroecological transition that happens in some lots of the project. agrarian reform March 20, located in the municipality of Três Lagoas. With the Agroecological Transition Fair, settlers can sell their production surplus and thus increase family income, enabling a better quality of life, as well as breaking the circle of "middlemen". The research indicates that there is a dynamization of consumption and a great variety of products at the Agroecological Fair at UFMS / CPTL II, a situation that guarantees the continuity of the fair allowing access to healthy food by the academic community of the university strengthening the right to food sovereignty
