Abstract

It was in the context of the fight in the land that the community formed the Settlement Project Nova Alvorada (PANA), composed of families connected to land as well as farms works, tenants, sharecroppers, or simply unemployed with dreams and hopes in agrarian reform in search of their piece of land to give dignity to their family. This work aims to show the formation of the PANA community and the organization of the school education of this community seeking to expose the trajectory of the schools Rosalvo da Rocha Rodrigues and Extension Delfina Nogueira de Souza. The debate about the field education proposed by social movements has appeared in a rather confused and timid way among leaders, teachers, students, parents and the community at large. As the community and schools progressed, this debate was gradually incorporated mainly by the teachers of these schools, who began to work on the same curricular content required to attend the reality of the peasant clientele. The results of this work can be seen by the gradual increase of students finishing high school and entering the universities in the majority of undergraduate courses, seeing the offer of degrees in education of the field as an opportunity to enter the labor market and the same time to contribute to the fight for a liberating and emancipatory Field Education.
