Abstract

The Ergonomics of Activity seeks to accomplish a systemic and critical reading of the functioning of organizations and work situations, through the Ergonomic Analysis of Work (EAW). Agriculture, as one of the productive branches that generate high risks to the worker, has become one of the objects of its analysis. Faced with the exhaustion of the conventional model of agricultural production, this sector has undergone several changes and organic agriculture has gained space as an alternative production model. Through a systematic review of the national literature, this work aimed to identify and discuss the use of EAW as a method of analysis and intervention in the real situations of agricultural work, more specifically in organic agriculture. The analyzes were carried out from thirteen articles selected as more relevant to the issues that guided this work. The results showed that the ergonomic studies dedicated to the agricultural sector focus mainly on the adequacy of agricultural equipment and machines. On the other hand, the studies dedicated to the management of the organic production are still scarce, predominantly exploratory, descriptive and non-interventional. Diagnoses on organic agriculture show a low use of technological resources and frequent adaptations of equipment, in response to the variety of production, and a large number of manual tasks, which are necessary to replace the use of chemical products and to eliminate the lack of mechanization in the sector.
