This work analyzes the EMR São Joaquim - Selvíria / MS school and seeks to stimulate the debate about the construction of Field Education. We understand that the theme is relevant because we understand that there is a field education project being developed, but that it needs to gain a body and forms more coherent with the type of education proposed by the social movements of the countryside. Therefore, the scope of the article is to give visibility to the efforts made by the teachers and managers of the EMR São Joaquim school to consolidate a quality education and committed to the reality of the subjects of the field. For that, we used the fieldwork to collect primary data, through the application of questionnaires, analysis of didactic material and photographs. Finally, it is concluded that the struggle for a field education that is coherent with the principles of defense of life, struggle for land, emancipation, valorization of the identity and knowledge of the subjects of the field is arduous, but it is necessary.
