Repercussion on the installation of the Demonstration Unit of vegetables cultivation in small spaces

Abstract

The construction of vegetable gardens and the cultivation of quality vegetables have attracted
the interest of farmers and the population in general. In the urban environment, the adoption
of vegetable solving is increasing; however, as the population grows, the urban residences are
becoming smaller and smaller, making people feel unable to cultivate any type of vegetable in
their homes. In order to show that the cultivation in small spaces is possible, a Demonstration
Unit was installed in the Epamig Southeast, growing vegetables in the agroecological system
in different containers, shapes and sizes. The repercussion in different media about this Demonstration
Unit served to show the interest of the population in a general way in the search
for the quality vegetables production into account a lower cost of production, less environment
impact and the consumption of healthy foods.
