Abstract

On December 16, a workshop of handmade soap with cooking oil reuse was developed, with the perspective of environmental education and as a way of strengthening the community, Tupinambá Indigenous village Tucum, located near Olivença in the municipality of Ilheus, Bahia. The work carried out was one of the community's wishes that was evidenced in the meeting organized in the village school to give the return of the presentation of the work, Indigenous Knowledge, published in the period from 26 to 28, 09/2018, Salvador-Bahia. The methodology was applied in a participatory manner with the community. The materials used were bucket, spoon, plastic bowls and basins, and wood utensils could be used, avoiding the use of metal pots, so that the object would not be lost and the quality of the final product, the materials taken to make the soap, were oil, caustic soda and alcohol. The workshop was developed in a way, to train multipliers of this knowledge and the practices offered.
