Agrochemicals products are used intensively in conventional agriculture, bringing consequences
to ecosystems and human health. This study aimed to develop an analysis of the use of
agrochemicals products in pineapple cultivation in the region of Porto Seguro - Ba and search
to support decision-making for an agroecological transition process, focused on agroecosystem
sustainability and biodiversity conservation. The research methodology included a bibliographic
review; characterization of the study area through field verifications and a semi-structured
interview. The high use of agrochemicals in pineapple cultivation and a high level of soil
degradation were observed. Therefore, some practices were indicated for an initial process
of agroecological transition, seeking the recovery of degraded areas and reducing the use of
chemical inputs.
