Agroecologia e produção orgânica no Território Sul do Estado do Amapá

The southern territory of Amapá is made up of traditional populations that develop their production systems in close symbiosis with natural resources, mainly rivers and forests. Considering these aspects, this paper reports on the actions developed by the Center for the Study of Agroecology and Organic Production of the Federal University of Amapá – Campus Mazagão (NEA UNIFAP/MZG), hich are divided into two axes: Socialenvironmental education, aims to conduct courses, speeches, diagnostics and capacitation, and Plant and animal production in the agroecological perspective, consists of the implantation of nursery for medicinal species, PANC and melitophiles; of creole seed bank and of creation system of organic chickens. In addition to the creation of the Organic Production Commission of the State of Amapá (CPORG). It is observed that there is a considerable demand for agroecological production and organic in that territory, but needs to be further developed through scientific research and technical advice.
