Abstract

The aim was to arouse interest in the diversity of the soils of Roraima, the valorization of the natural resource and the appreciation of the students. knowledge, using artistic and cultural expression through the use of canvas and paint made from the soil. The activity was developed at the IFRR Campus Amajari, state of Roraima, with a group of students from course in Agropecuaria integrated to the high school. With soil samples from the region (TFSA), soil paint was prepared and using screens and brushes of varying sizes, the students represented things of their daily life and culture, such as animals and landscapes. The culmination of the work took place at the IFRR, during the event of the VII Pedagogical Show of the Amajari Campus, where the students were able to expose their painting techniques as well as the results of their work. It was verified, through painting from the ground, to be able to explore the pedological characteristics of each class of soils and to associate them with the local landscapes. The works produced by the students were highly commented and praised, bringing the feeling of pride and satisfaction to the accomplished task, adding, therefore, a greater meaning to teaching - learning and valorization of culture and natural resource soil.
