Cultural circuit: debating the transgenic foods

Abstract

The first Cultural Circuit - transgenic in debate brought to the discussion a current issue that
implies in the lives of all - transgenic foods -, thus attending to transversal themes provided for
current legislation of the courses offered by the institution: food education, environment education
and ethnic diversity. The creation of spaces for different cultural expressions’ manifestation
that are related to the subject in question. In this sense, through various activities such as
exhibitions, lectures, music, discussions, theater and audiovisual production, it was intended
to contribute to the students’ integral formation as well as to the training of Gaspar campus’
employees from Federal Institute of Santa Catarina.
