Abstract

The present technical report aims to report the biocide of pollinating insects, especially native
and exotic bees in large sugarcane fields in the of São Paulo, as a consequence of spraying
of pesticides mainly by air. The cases of this report were registered in the period from 2015 to
2017. Samples of bees, soil and leaves of sugarcane were collected and sent to toxicological
analysis in a specialized laboratory. The results of the analyzes revealed the presence of insecticides,
herbicides and fungicides of various categories. In view of the results, it is concluded
that the most probable cause of the massive death of bees, immediately after spraying,
is directly related to the exaggerated use, misuse and total disobedience of the legislation in
force in Brazil.
