The substrate acts directly on the quality of seedling produced, interfering with germination and development. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of humus enriched with crotalaria on the emergence of clove lemon seedlings. The substrates were prepared from bovine manure mixed with crotalaria in the proportions: 10%; 20%; 30% and 40% of Crotalaria, and pure manure, placed in boxes of 0,5x0,5x0,5 m with 20 g of earthworms per box for a period of 120 days. Sowing occurred in 280 ml tubes in the prepared substrates. The treatments were: Pure humus; Humus + 10% Crotalaria; Humus + 20% Crotalaria; Humus + 30% of Crotalaria; Humus + 40% Crotalaria; pure soil; Soil + bovine manure (3: 1). The treatments with the doses of 10% and 20% of crotalaria were superior in the emergence of the seedlings of clove lemon, and the dosage of 20% of crotalaria mixed in the cattle manure presented the best result, being able to be indicated as substrate in the production of seedlings of lemon clove.
