Abstract

A case study carried out in Mato Grosso, aiming the construction of free territories of Agrochemicals.
Through the action research, a participatory methodology was adopted with a collective
of 30 people from the Roseli Nunes settlement, making possible the denunciation of
conflicts and the announcement of agroecological practices existing in the territory.
Considering the pesticides part of a technological package imposed by capital, and that the
territory had only been constituted “free” as the total rupture to this model, assuming a political
position of denial to agribusiness / capital. The importance of the agro-ecological practices
identified in the settlement and that contribute to the condition of freedom of the territory was
emphasized. This led to the elaboration of a strategic plan of resistance and a political letter of
the Settlement, with a view to the implementation of agrotoxic free territories for the promotion
of Agroecology.
