Agroecological design must be based on systems social-productive and enviromental knowledge.
Soil degradation is a limiting to analyze by the indicators evaluation and management
practices definition, thus the purpose of this study is to evaluate physical and chemical indicators
of soils quality in two characteristics crops of familiy farmers in Formosa´s NE in contrast
with undisturbed soils and to define actions aimed to its improvement. Banana (inorganic fertilization),
pomelo (without inputs) and non disturbed soils were analysed. The physical parameters
were infiltration and penetrometry and the chemicals: MO, C, N, C/N, CE, pH, P, K, Mg,
Na, Ca and total bases. The results show higher compactation and low infiltration and nutrient
availability, mostly in banana with significant differences in all of them vs. the undisturbed one.
Cover crops and vertical tillage could improve the water and nutrient efficiency in the systems.
