Abstract

The use of the organic compound as a substrate is an alternative for the commercial fertilizers. The objective of this work was to evaluate the use of the organic compound from residues of the properties of small farmers in agroecological transition, as substratum in murupi pepper seedlings. In this compound was added sand in different concentrations: T1 (compound); T2 (compound + sand / 3: 1); T3 (compound + sand / 1: 1); T4 (compound + sand / 1: 3) and T5 (sand). After the germination of the seedlings, the seedlings' phytometric parameters were evaluated and the statistical analysis was performed by the Tukey test at 5% probability in a randomized complete block design with 4 replicates. It was concluded that there was a positive effect of the substrates with organic compost on the production of murupi pepper seedlings for all the characteristics analyzed (height, weight, aerial and root dry mass), and although the substrate with 100% of compound provided better characteristics for The development of the plant does not negate the quality of the other substrates diluted in 75%, 50% and 25%, generating a less costly alternative for the producer and with a higher yield and use of the compound produced.
