Abstract

The degradation of pasture areas in Brazil, and especially in the Amazon, is a serious problem,
both environmental and from the economic point of view. Among the strategies aimed at the
recovery of these areas is the adoption of silvopastoral systems (SSP) and livestock-farming-
-forest integration systems (ILPF). The objective of this study is to simulate and analyze three
different models, evaluating the economic feasibility of each one of them, through the following
indicators: internal rate of return (TIR), net present value (NPV), benefit-cost ratio (Rb / c),
payback and annual equivalent value (VAE). Confirming the feasibility of each of the models.
