Abstract

The article in question has the objectives of: explaining the consequences of seeing nature as an economic good; understand the importance of access to the environment and the elements that make it up for the autonomy of the human being; explain the importance of recognizing nature as a common good to combat its capitalist appropriation by allowing a social reappropriation of it. The relevance of work to agroecology lies in the fact that nature must be seen as a common good, allowing universalized access to humanity, as opposed to the market view of nature as an economic good, which hinders access. The methodology of the work was summarized the bibliographical research and the knowledge obtained in the field. As the main result we realize that the human being can only be autonomous with respect to capital, if he has access to natural elements, we conclude that recognizing nature as a common good contributes to freeing the human being from the impositions of capital.
