Projeto municipal de incentivo à produção e consumo de alimentos agroecológicos

Abstract

In Aratiba - RS, through the Project to encourage the production and consumption of agroecological foods, agroecology has been encouraged through the Municipal Government in partnership with local entities, seeking alternatives for production, sustainability, economic viability, awareness and quality of life for the population local. Initially in the municipality, 5 families were certified with organic production by the ECOVIDA network and two years after the project began, 28 families are already certified and around 20 began certification. The access to technical assistance by the families involved has notoriously increased and improved agricultural production. It is also worth highlighting the work of raising awareness in education spaces. In addition, the supply of agro-ecological food has led to short supply circuits for municipal schools and the population, which always has the supply of quality food, in addition to contributing to food and nutritional security.
