Abstract

For this research we aimed to understand the commercialization of agroecological products in short distribution channels present in the city of Araras, SP, highlighting the potential of thesemarkets in the economic viability of local farmers. The methodology used was through a case study of the market carried out by thosefarmers; the data were collected through a bibliographic review and searchesin the public websites of the municipality. The results showed that this commercialization process happens in two ways, direct and indirect. The municipality has a municipal law that regulated the Rural Producer Fair, benefiting 23 local producers, besides the program of the federal government, the National School Feeding Program (PNAE), two cooperatives are responsible for the commercialization of the production from associated farmers, the Cooperative of the Rural Family Farmers of Araras and Region Settlement (Coopaf) and the Cooperative of Beekeepers and Family Farmers of Araras and Region (Coaaf). In the year of 2019, was destined an investment in around R $ 1 million, contemplating the total of 110 farmers.
