Abstract

This paper is an account of the actions of the Extension Project “Strengthening the Pedagogy
of Alternation and the Family Farmers in the Region West of the State of Pará”, linked to the
Federal University of the West of Pará - Ufopa. With reference to Field Education and Pedagogy
of Alternation, the objective of this project is to strengthen the Rural Family Houses of
Belterra and Santarém, in the state of Pará, based on pedagogical advice to the CFR team. In
this report we present the actions developed with the CFR of Belterra between the years 2015
and 2016, focusing on the support in the elaboration of the calendars of alternations and in
the use of pedagogical instruments of the Pedagogy of Alternation. The university extension
actions have contributed to the viability of the educational activities proposed in the curriculum
of the Agricultural Technical Course, which emphasize the importance of agroecology in the
development of rural education.
