Abstract

The objective of this article was to understand, from the life project map, the conditions of youthful
stay in the rural environment in the light of agroecological production, in the case of Melissa,
a rural girl living in the municipality of Derrubadas - RS. Methodologically, this research
is inserted in an exploratory and descriptive case study with a qualitative character. Thus, as
data collection tool a combination of techniques, such as: the semi-structured interview, as well
as the construction of a life project map and also the non-participant observation is used. From
such methodological procedures, it was observed that the young woman’s desire to remain is
great and for that there is support from her parents, but a great deal occurs in her trajectory,
since it is stated by her that only will continue on the property if they could work without poisons
(which is not accepted by her parents yet).
