in the district of Marudá, municipality of Marapanim-Pará, with the theme “Smart youth, right
health” in the space “Erva Vida”. It aimed to awaken in the young people the interest regarding
to Popular Phytotherapy through a local group of female herbagers who produce herbal products
based on local knowledge, associated to alternatives of healthy food practices. It was
possible to observe that during the workshop that despite not knowing the topic of popular
herbal medicine, the majority of those present have already used medicinal plants for the treatment
of disease. At the time of the workshop, it was also verified that although the group knows
about cultivation practices, there is an excessive consumption of industrialized products due to
the absence of vegetable gardens in the community, increasing the vegetables in the locality.
