Interdisciplinary experience in agroecology of CTUR-RJ: youth in the leading role of knowledge construction

The project Interdisciplinary Experience in Agroecology happened from 2014 to 2016, carried
out by students, under the guidance of professors of the Technical College of UFRRJ. Developing
activities in partnership with entities that work in agroecology in different territories of Rio
de Janeiro. We reflect on the rural environment through the valuation of the peasant culture
and the exchange of knowledge among the youth of the countryside and the city. The project
presents a methodology within the training axes for the construction of technical-scientific and
artistic-cultural knowledge integrating teaching-research-extension. We understand that the
sensitivity and affectivity dimension of human relationships act in the good performance of
collective activities and in the orientation of critical and respectful positions in youth, being a
fundamental element in the formation in agroecology.
