Analysis of the profile of the young people of the CFR of Primeira Cruz, MA

Almost half of the Brazilian population (49.25%) with 25 years or more do not have complete
elementary education, and these data are more alarming in rural areas. Due to the difficulty
with rural education, the Rural Family Houses (CFR’s) were founded to promote the formation
of young people based on rural activities. In order to know the profile of CFR ‘s students and
to understand the influence of the school on the youth’ s participation in the field, 21 questionnaires
were applied among the youngsters of the Primeira Cruz, MA. CFR. Based on this
methodology, there was an educational deficit , Considering that 22.22% of the participants
in the family nucleus of young people did not complete elementary education, 62.4% of whom
are adults. Another important factor is the participation of young people in the field activities,
where 41.67% of them are students and farmers, also highlighting the importance of clearing,
as a food source (62.52%) and source of income (27,56 %).
