Abstract

This text was constructed from preliminary field research data held in 2018 with women without land involved in the construction of agroecological experiences in the State of Paraná. In this article we present questions that seek to intersect gender, health and agroecology. Through the methodology of oral history, we seek to understand how the gender debate is situated in the construction of ecologies and notions of health, through the agroecological experiences developed by women without land. For them, agroecology constitutes an ethos, a lifestyle that assures health to the landless woman, their families and society, becoming a popular and feminist peasant type of collective health and well-being. On the one hand, health is seen from the perspective of the body of women and of agro-ecosystems through food. And on the other hand, health is seen from a psycho-emotional perspective, where they pointed out that agroecology has promoted mental health for women without land. Finally, we analyze that an expanded notion of collective health, well-being and care emerges from these experiences, from the feminist and emancipatory.
