Abstract

Agriculture is an outstanding economic activity in Brazil. Since the exploration of natural resources be crucial, sustainable practices must be use in order to reduce major environmental impact. Seeking for solutions, a panel was created along with Agricultural engineers from Centro de Ciências Agrárias da UFSCar/Araras to discuss and compare the conventional agricultural practices within agroecology practices considering economic, social and environmetal parameters. The method was applied as an ongoing activity during the studies on the subject of "Introducion to agroecology" within the Estágio Supervisionado de Capacitação Docente (PESCD) academic program. Fortunately it has brought positive results to the scientific research, allowing the participation of students as well. The process motivated the discuss of proposed subject which resulted on great lecturing mechanism.
