Abstract

Public policies can contribute to the diffusion of agroecology through access to the production and consumption of healthy food, especially to low-income populations, traditional communities, indigenous peoples and family farmers. Considering the social relevance of these policies, the present work sought to debate the democratization of the production and consumption of organic / agroecological products, as well as the fair commercialization of the products of family agriculture and the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Objectives. Seeking to understand the unfolding of these programs, a bibliographical review was carried out on the policies implemented in Brazil, as well as the compilation of data obtained from the EMATER-DF representative on the institutional purchases made in the Federal District. It was also carried out the treatment of the PAA data as it was the promoter of the development of Agroecology and Organic Production in the Federal District.
