The Young Agrarian Residency project in Paraíba counted on the selection of 34 young people
in the first group (2015-2016) and 24 in the second (2016-2017). The methodological conception
of the course as researchers is based on participant research, with inspiration in the
pedagogy of alternation. In the territories of the students and in their daily lives the collective
construction of identities was affirmed in the actions developed through the centrality given to
axes related to an immersion in elements of culture and leisure. The cultural dimension contributed
to the peasant youth to re-signify what they liked to do, to awaken their talents and
abilities and to optimize the community through actions that improved the residents’ quality of
life. The main objective of this work was to understand how the proposals made by the Project
were articulated to the cultural dimension in Community Time.
