The present work results from the “Cooperativism and Solidarity Economy” module taught
at the Lato Sensu Youth and Adult Education (EJA) Course for Youth, offered by the Federal
University of Uberlândia (UFU). The module addressed the legal bases for the implementation
of cooperatives, the principles of cooperativism and solidarity economy, as tools for social inclusion,
income generation and local development. We make conversation about the theme,
with drawings and / or written on a panel, about what they know and / or wanted to know, what
the theme has to do with the course. We visited the agroecological fair of rural settlers of the
region, which happens on Saturdays inside the UFU Campus, under the responsibility of the
Center for Incubation of Popular Solidarity Enterprises (Cieps / UFU), as a way of understanding
the concepts of Solidary Economy defended and Developed by the family farmers from a
perspective of where they are, who they are, what they produce, how they produce, how they
produce, how long they produce, who have gender orientations.
