Permaculture and Agroecology, learning and teaching through a study group in São Lourenço do Sul - RS

Abstract

It can be affirmed that Permaculture and Agroecology go together in the quest for food sovereignty and a life with less impact on the planet.
In São Lourenço do Sul - Rio Grande do Sul Brasil, there is a campus of the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), where since 2017
it has been executing a teaching project in the form of a group of studies based on Permaculture and its theoretical and practical foundations.
The project is in progress and the work presupposes to report some of the activities developed over a year and a half of activities
of the Group of Studies and Practices in Permaculture (GEEP), considering that the work done has contributed to the interaction between
the academic public and the community of São Lourenço do Sul / RS, helping to build a holistic knowledge among the participants,
involving Agroecology and Permaculture.
