Abstract

The agroecology group UVAIA has established an aproach between family organic growers,
workers that process this food and users of the government-run restaurants of the Federal
University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). This action, that uses photography records, intends
to reforce the importance of the different actors involved in production, processment and
consume of ecological food. Furthermore, it promotes the debate about public policy that aim
to increase the consume of organic food by public institutions; valorizes the protagonists of the
whole alimentary cycle; and instigates the questioning (debate) about alimentation as a social
and political action.
