The adoption of appropriate agroecological practices enables new forms of coexistence between man and the environment. The Redinovagroeco project was created to mediate social innovation to agents in agroecological transition in the Brazilian semi-arid backlands. Visits were made to the communities of Sertão de Sobral, CE, to search for different experiences to exchange knowledge and adoption of Embrapa technologies. It was used in the visits to the Methodology Sustentare, with the phase Knowing to Act, to give subsidies to the other stages of the project. Participatory techniques such as sensitization and participatory rural diagnosis were used to collect information, and assisted in the elaboration of maps for the recognition of families in their environment and cross-paths as a way of perceiving the integration of the community with their environment . The result is to generate agents of social innovation with a tendency towards agroecological transition and collective consciousness
