This paper proposes to discuss the National Program of Seeds and Seedlings for Family Agriculture
- PNSMAF as a public policy, which guarantees family farmers and traditional communities
access to seeds and seedlings of recognized origin and quality, and which are free of diseases
and pests. And more than this, as this program proposes to empower the public above
and its organizations in the techniques of production, multiplication, rescue and conservation
of these materials. The discussion proposed through this work and its results will serve to
qualify the actions of the PNSMAF contributing to its consolidation, the strengthening of family
agriculture and more, will contribute to the maintenance of agrobiodiversity.
