Abstract

The present work consists in the elaboration of a didactic-pedagogical resource, book that will identify the presence of the sacred leaves in the green spaces of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. The production of this pedagogical material will follow a research line of the Thematic Axis "Traditional Peoples: Territory and Religiosity" belonging to the PET-Ethnodevelopment and Differential Education Group in UFRRJ. As a guiding objective, the book will focus beyond scientific relevance the enormous contribution of the African diaspora in Brazil through complementary medicine and ritual repertoire based on herbs and leaves. The work will also contribute to the dissemination of the Institution gardens where the species were located. This project is still under development by the students involved in its implementation, and it is estimated that the material will be launched at the II EthnoPET Group Conference, an event that will be held at the end of 2019.
