Abstract

Withtheexpansionofthe debate onsocio-biodiversityconservationstrategies in the 2000s, a series
of policies werecreatedwiththepurposeofprovingthe ideal in severalplaces in Brazil, butfromtheexperienceof
dialogue withfarmers, there are some obstacles, linkedtothehomogenizingnatureofthepolicy,
theNationalPlan for thePromotionofSocioBiodiversityProductChains, in
viewofthedifferentcontextsof its applicability, such as the case ofthe rural settlements Nova
Batalha and Nova Estrela, in themunicipalityof Vacaria - RS. In thissense, theimportanceofunderstanding
local realities anddemandsisdefined, for anactionthatisnotdelimited in a timelymannerandguarantees
new fruits as a strategy for development, stimulationandpromotionof new
chains, as well as strengtheningexistingones
