Abstract

Agroecological Urban Agriculture with bias in productive inclusion is an expanding global phenomenon that benefits thousands of people, generates income and promotes food and nutritional security and financial autonomy of the beneficiaries. The project presented here develops in the city of Aracaju, in a pioneering way (in terms of public policy), the implantation of vegetable gardens and other crops in community spaces, aiming to generate income for the Bolsa Família beneficiaries and families inserted in the Cadastro Único in social vulnerability.
The initial focus is to develop the autonomy of 100 beneficiaries representing different family nuclei (representing an average of 4 people per nucleus) of low income enrolled in the Bolsa Família Program including persons with disabilities (the case of this report); promoting social inclusion and opening a new channel of productive inclusion, leading the municipality to provide new opportunities for income generation to the vulnerable population and to improve their quality of life.
