Abstract

Public policies are linked intrinsically with territorial development projects and the interests of the class that has hegemony in the state. From this point of view, we will discuss the Center for Studies in Agroecology and Organic Production of the Middle Itajaí Valley, Santa Catarina, Brazil. We believe that this nucleus has a character of emancipatory public politics, but in constant dispute, for representing interests opposed to the current hegemonic thinking of territorial development. In this way, their future depends on the synthesis of current conflicts.
