Summer School AUGM 2017: reflections concerning public policies as of two cases of the Vale do Ribeira – PR

This report comes from the experience in the AUGM (Asociación de Universidades Grupo
Montevideo) Summer School of 2017. Which was held between 13 and 22 february, with the
theme: Cooperativism and Associativism as a Strategy for Rural Development. Ours report
emerges from the question about the perspective of its beneficiaries, how far the PAA and the
PNAE have favored family farmers groups, specially those linked to the production of organic,
in this case still with agroecological principles? With this we present two cases of organic producers
with agroecological basis, an association and a cooperative of a quilombola community,
both linked to Rede Ecovida.
