Abstract

In order to strengthen the agroecology and organic production networks of the Federal District, in 2017, the District Policy for Agroecology and Organic Production was established through Law No. 5,801, of January 10, 2017. Inspired by the National Policy Agroecology and Organic Production, the District Policy aims at the agroecological transition and the production of agroecological basis, seeking the sustainable development and the quality of life of the local population. As a way of expanding this debate, in order to reach all the areas that encompass the theme, the Sectorial Chamber of Agroecology and Organic Production, an advisory body linked to the Government of the Federal District, promoted in November 2018 the "Workshops for the construction of proposals for Agroecology and Organic Production of the Federal District and surroundings. " The workshop drew up 110 proposals and of these 29 proposals can be implemented without the need for financial resources; thus necessitating mainly political will.
