A relação sócio-produtiva da água no Assentamento Volta à Terra no Recôncavo da Bahia

Abstract

Water is essential to life. When their access is limited, neglected and, or, water scarcity is present, the quality of human life is directly affected, especially in small rural communities that demand this resource for direct use and for food production. The present report intends to present the perception of living Interdisciplinary Internship and Intervention (EIVI) scholars with respect to water relations and their uses in the rural properties of the Volta a Terra settlement, in the municipality of Cruz das Almas - Bahia. The experience made it possible to highlight the challenges of collective and sustainable use of water in rural communities.
