Abstract

Organic vegetable production can be accomplished by simple exchange of inputs, from conventional to organic allowed by law, but maintaining monoculture and conventional soil management. The objective of this work was to investigate the biodiversity, the management adopted and the inputs used by certified farmers in the municipality of Guaíra - Pr, through the Paraná More Organic Program. Three certified farmers were surveyed in the municipality of Guaíra - PR. These farmers allocate an average 37.9% of their properties to organic agriculture, growing 48 different plant species. They adopt diverse management of soil conservation and inputs allowed by current legislation. In this way, it was observed that the adopted practices emphasize agrobiodiversity and sustainability of managed agroecosystems, contributing to food security, family income and conservation of the environment.
